ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
CADET HITS CAR. While proceeding to drill at the "butts” yesterday afternoon, Cadet Frank Manning, of Featherston street, collided with a car in Fitzherbert street, receiving minor Injuries to his head and limbs. Manning was riding a bicycle In company with several other cadets behind one of the Municipal busses, when a gust of -wind blew his hat off. He turned round to recover the head piece and failed to notice a motor car driven by Mr C. Kendall coming in the opposite direction. He collided head on, striking the car between the doors. The boy lost consciousness for a few minutes. The injuries wore not serious, his head being bruised, while several cuts were Inflicted on his hands and logs.
