“SETTLE IT YOURSELVES.” HOME ADVICE TO AUSTRALIAN STATES. LONDON, March 3. “Settle it yourselves,” is the substance of the Colonial Office’s advice to all Australian States in regard to domestic constitutional questions, similar to that of the New South Wales Legislative Council. Concerning this it is held that there need be no crisis, because Mr. Amery clearly and definitely stated in his dispatch in December that such questions must be settled between Governor and Ministers Appeals to Imperial authorities are therefore unnecessary, Mr. McTiernan’s projected visit to London is therefore obviously futile, because Mr. Amery will be unable to do more than his elaborate dispatch set put.
