OLD BOYS ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Old Boys Football Club was held last night when Mr. A. M. Williams presided over a. large attendance of members, new and old. The chairman, when moving the adoption of the annual report (already pubished), congratulated the Club on its achievements and trusted th e ensuing year ivould be a great success. Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P.. was eleefted Patron and Mr. A. M. Williams, president. Vice-presidents. Messrs. A. S. Faire, A. McKegg, N. Ingham i H. B. Tucker, A. Hannay, R. Law, J. Devine. J. Linklater, M.P., W. P. Anderson, G. McGregor, T. Edw r ards and In'S. Hunter Will and Dunvard. •Other appointments were: Club captain, M. S. Eglinton; hon. secretary, V Tremewan; coaches, M. S. Eglinton and R. Law. the captain and vicccaptaln of the senior team (to act as coach to the third grade team; committee: A. Mf'ophy, H. Palmer, D. Stua.rt, H. von Sturmer, A. Hope, E. Seeker. C. Waugh, R. Linklater and I. Pickering; selection committee; the coaches, club captain and team captains: delegate to council, K. Eglitjton. It was decided to apply for Tuesday night on the Showgrounds and Thursday night on the High School ground for practices . The Club colours are to be the same as last year. The following subscriptions w r ere decided upon: Seniors XOs, juniors 7s 6d, third grade 7s ild. ✓ A donation of two guineas is to be forwarded to the High School games fund to show the Club’s appreciation of th e usc of the school grounds and dressing-shed for practices on Thursday nights last year. With the view of getting into form early, the first pracltice was decided for March 27, and arrangements are to be made for a game after Easter with somo outside club. It was decided to write to the Manawatu Rugby District Council, asking them (to show mor e consideration towards the classification of third and fourth grade players. About twenty new members were enrolled which promised well for the forthcoming year. Jackeytown Club. The second annual general meeting of the Jackeytown Rugby Football Club was held on Wednesday evening, when the president, Mr P. A. Meehan, presided over a large attendance of members. The annual report and balancesheet, as published, was adopted. Election of Officers, The new officers for the ensuing year will be as follow; —Patron, Mr. J. T. Rogerson; president, Mr. P. A. Meehan; forty-four vice-presidents, including ten new nominations; hon. sec. and treasurer, Mr. J. Mabey;' delegates to the Rugby Union, Messrs. P. A. Meehan and F. J. Swindell; club captain, Mr. W. Rowlands; coaches, juniors, Mr. W. Rowlands; thirds and fourths, Mr. G. Walker; management committee, Messrs. R. McClelland, E. Jewell, T. Rowlands, A. Mellor, W. de Cleene, J. Sterling and P. Casey; hon. auditor, Mr. W. E. Wilson. General. It was decided to increase the number of teams to three, placing a junior, third and fourth grade team in the field. The subscriptions for the year were fixed at: Juniors, 5/-; thirds, 2/6; fourths, 2/6. A total of,twenty-one new members were elected, this including four juniors, nine thirds and eight fourths. It was decided to hold the first practice on the freezing work’s paddock on March 21. The secretary was Instructed to make an application for a night at the gymnasium.
