Pressure of space compelled holding over of a long message on the United Fire Brigades' demonstration at Dunedin yesterday. Dannevirke was unplaced in the Gilbert Memorial, but ran second to Hawera (26 2-ssccs) in the three-men hose and hydrant. Dannevirke’s time was 27 3-oaccs. Thames was third, 29 l-ssecs.
