GREATLY improved tone. POORER SORTS ADVANCED. [Per Press Association.! NAPIER, Dast Night. Tho tone of the third Napier ■wool sale of the season, which commenced ou Saturday evening, was in contrast to tho previous sale. Keen competition, spirited bidding l and a good, demand for all classes of wools had taken tho place o? the slow, dragging sale of a month previously. It appeared now as if prices had become fa'lrly stabilised. Bradford made the running but help from the Continent made competition. Bradford buyers, in fact, took tho bulk of the three catalogues of 8945 bales Out of a total offering at sale of 35,044. America was in the market and foy super wools suitable for hep, there was spirited competition at prices In advance of last sales. It appeared as though super wools had regained the ground lost at the previous sale and prices were up to opening sale rates. Medium to Inferior sorts were sold at slightly In advance of December rates, whilst pieces, bellies and locks were on a par. On striking ap average, prices were from par to one penny on the December sale.
