Reports of the sun’s eclipse state that although it was visible at Bencoolen, the scientific results are doubtful owing' to nearly invisible cdieus clouds. The Corona protuberance, however, wore splendid. It is authoritatively stated that all photographic plates taken to prove the Einstein theory will most probably be valueless. MISSION 'TO JUBALAND. SUCCESSFUL RESULTS SECURED. (Received Sunday, 7 p.m.) ROME, January 16. According to a telegram from Klslaayu, Jubaiand, the Italian astronomical mission to study the solar eclipse secured successful results. Three observatories were installed and the observers had a full view of phenomenon for Dll minutes. They secured a number of photographs, also important data.
