BOURKE STREET RESIDENCE » ENTERED.

The residence of Mr C, S. Gosper, of 4 Bourke street, was entered on Thursday and every room was ransacked, the contents of the drawers and cupboards being strewn all over the floor. The) thief got away with £24 in money, this evidently being the only thing claiming his attention. £l9 of this sum belonged to Miss Harris, an old lady who has lived with the family for the last 13 years and it was all the money she possessed. The family together with Miss Harris, was away at Foxton beach at the time. The police have the matter in hand.
