Mr A. B. Webber, editor of the N.Z. Farmer, is a visitor to Palmerston North. Hon. E. Newman has been re-elect-ed chairman and Col. G. Powles, has been appointed a member of the Flock House Board of trustees. Colonel Henry, general secretary of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, who has besn transferred to Eastern Canada with headquarters at Toronto, has received advice of his promotion from Lleut-Colonel In recognition of his distinguished service In and to this country, His successor Is Colonel Knott, of Winnipeg, chief secretary of the Army In Western Canada. Yesterday crowded farewell services were conducted by Colonel Henry at Felldlng in the morning, at Woodville in the afternoon, and at the Citadel, Palmerston North, In the evening. On all occasions there were very large attendances and inspiring addresses were delivered. Smartly cut linen frocks in the “Nil Crush Linen" with and without collars—finished drawn thread work—and hem-stitohed In hello—almondwhite —cinnamon and grey. Were 35/- to 87/6, summer dress sale, 25/11 at Colllnson and CunnlngUame’s.
