CALVY—FREEMAN

It is evident that the coming- of Mr F. Calvi-Froomaa to Palmerston is causing a great deal of interest. Mr Calyi-Freeman’s reputation has preceded him, and since this is his last professional visit to Palmerston before leaving for Australia, there is every prospect of his consulting rooms being crowded with patients when he opens here on Thursday, January 14. Magnetic healing is rapidly replacing the old order of dosing with medicines, and even the most conservative of medical practitioners recognise that in skilled hands the treatment brings about cures that a few years back would have been hailed with scepticism. Mr Calvi-Freeman has many friends amongst the ranks of medical men, and although his treatment differs wholly from theirs, many of New Zealand's leading ' practitioners wish he was officially recognised as a healer by the British Medical Association, so that they might publicly proclaim his powers where they can only* do so now in private conversation. It is certain that many operations now performed in the various hospitals of the Dominion would never have been necessary had Mr Calvi-Freeman’s treatment been resorted to. In fact, it is Mr Calvi-Freeman’s contention that most operations are unnecessary even n extreme cases, but cannot make this a definite statement till he has personally investigated each case individually. Mr Calvl-Freemau’s consulting rooms will be advertised later.
