MAOFIE MURDER
MYSTERY NO LONGER. TWO HOTEL BOYS CONFESS TO CRIME. [By Electric Cable —Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] WELTEVREDEN, January 5. Two hotel boys, the main suspects in the Macfie murder case, have confessed that one stabbed Mrs. Macfie while the other held the victim’s legs, two other hotel boys keeping watch. Finally, two other confederates removed Mra Macfle’s luggage to an empty where it was plundered. The prisoners declared that robber}' was the sole motive of the crime and that there was no European confcderate. A few months ago Mrs. Macfie, wife of a prominent Sydney gentleman, was found murdered in an hotel in Java, where she was spending a holiday.
