MARKET SERIOUSLY AFFECTED. [By Electric Cable —Copyright.] iAust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Friday, 7 p.m.) LONDON, December 3. A meeting of applo importers and leading retailors and a representative of the United States Embassy dis. cussed the question of arsenic U apples. A resolution was passed urging the United States particularly to supervise all apples intended for England. It is understood olhei prosecutions of retailers are pending. Prosecutions arc probable whenever the apples contain one-thirtieth of a grain of arsenic per lb. Nevertheless, they are somewhat apprehensive.
