HOSPITAL EXTENSIONS
TOUR BY DIRECTORGENERAL.
Dr. T. H. A. Valintine, DirectorGeneral of Health, has returned to Woffington from a visit to Palmerston North and Hawke’s Bay, where ho interviewed the various hospital boards in connection with posssible extensions and alterations to hospitals. In regard to the Palmerston North, Walpukurau, and Hawke’s Bay Hospitals, Dr, Valintine has advised the minimum extensions in accordance with the actual requirements. He also inspected the Dannovirke Hospital and Pukeora Sanatorium. Dr. Valintine has not yet submitted bis report to the Palmerston North Board but as far as the local hospital is concerned, all that was asked for was a minimum amount of additional ward room.
