CHANGED OUTFIT IN CLOTHIER’S FURTHER CHARGES PENDING AT PALMERSTON NORTH. AUCKLAND Last Night. A charge of breaking and entering the premises of George Tutt, clothier of Symonds street and stealing goods valued at £3B/7/7 was preferred against Rupert George Bell, aged 10, in the Police Court to-day. Detective McWhirter produced a statement in which accused admitted entering the shop by forcing a window. He said he attempted to open the safe with a hack saw, after searching the office for money. He packed the clothing into two suitcases and changed his own clothes for a new outfit. He left the discarded suit behind. Accused pleaded guilty and was committed to Wellington Supreme Court for sentence. On other charges of theft, he was remanded to appear at Palmerston North.
