“DEATH COMES SUDDENLY”
MAN FOUND BY M.P.’s WIPE. [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Past Night. Death this morning suddenly overtook a middle-aged man named McLeod, employed as a driver by a local aerated water firm. Deceased was found sitting on the steps of the Rolloston street hall, Linwood, by Mrs D, G. Sullivan, wife of the Labour member for Avon. It is understood that McLeod’s wife did not want him to go to work this morning, as he complained of a pain in his sido.
