NOTES OF THE DAY
Eight building permits, representing minor alterations and additions to the value of £6 92, were issued by the Feilding Borough Council during November. The - collection boxes for the Young Helpers’ .League of Manchester streoi school were opened at Ivowhai Park at the annual ceremony. The total amount collected was £ls/1/6. The children collecting most were Mona Simpson, £4/3/6 and Jack Broadbelt, £l/3/4. An enjoyable afternoon was spent and afternoon tea was served. Badges were won by Margery Taylor. Pat Wells, Florrie Staples and Merle Shelton. Five new members were enrolled. The Feilding Swimming Club is holding a street stall on Friday next and lots of good things will be offered. It deserves patronising, as the Club is teaching and has taught scores of kiddies to swim. A grand complimentary concert and presentation is to Sie tendered Mr and Mrs Richard Cobbe in the Tivoli Theatre, Feilding, on Tuesday next. Tin. full programme will be published later. ■
