[By Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z Cable Association.] (Received Wednesday 8.35 p.m) MELBOURNE, December 2. |A stop-work meeting of Victorian seamen carried a motion condemning the attitude of the Sydney branch in declaring against a strike In the event of .the deportation of Messrs Walsh and Johnson, and of sections of the industrial movement which had made similar decisions. A motion urged the industrial movement to take effective action to combat the deportation of the Union leaders. AND LEGAL ARGUMENT CONTINUES. (Received Wednesday 11.1.5 p.m) SYDNEY. December 2. Argument on the constitutional aspect of the Deportation Act occupied the attention of_ the High Court today, and had not concluded when the Court rose.
