LAWN TENNIS
Yesterday was the Palmerston North Lawn Tennis Club’s lucky day. For its big January open tournament Mr. H. B. Tucker donated a silver cup and Mr. J. A. Nash, M.P., a solid sliver miniature cup. Although the programme In circulation calls for a £2 2/- trophy (In addition to the Palmerston North Challenge Cup) for the men’s championship singles the Club, through the generosity of Messrs, W. H. Tisdall, ltd., of Wellington, the Club will bo able to give instead a five guinea racket.
