Arrangements in connection with the British team’s match on January 7th., were discussed. Although there are forty bowlers in the party, it was not certain whether all would want to play at Palmerston North. It was therefore resolved to wire Auckland to ascertain if the Britishers preferred to play eight rinks on one green or a ten-rinks match split over two greens (eight on one and two on another). On the eight rinks arrangement the following basis of representation in the Manawatu team was adopted:—Feilding 5, Palmerston North 4, Terrace End 3, and Woodville, Shannon, Northern, Manawsjtu Takaro, Eketahuna, Pahiatua, Dan-1 nevirke, Foxton, and Levin 2 each (total 32).

Palmerston North green was decided upon as the venue of the match after a ballot had been taken, with Terrace End as an alternative. If two extra links are played, Feilding will have the honour of entertaining the visitors. In that case, Feilding Club will supply the two rinks, the president to increase the basis of the other clubs In the eight rinks bowling at the Palmorstou North green. With regard to entertainment, it was decided that a smoke concert be held for the bowlers in the evening, the chairman undertaking suitably to entertain the seventeen ladies.

A sub-committee consisting of Messrs N. H. Nash, C. D. Fraser and G. H. Trott was set up to arrange for a suitable Centre badge to be presented to each member of the visiting team.

Transit arrangements from the station to the' team’s headquarters and the various greens were made. The following have undertaken to supply cars: Messrs Fraser, Trott, Jolly, Davidson, N. H. Nash, J. A. Nash, Jones, Boniface, Stevens, Needham, Morris, Eliott, Stephenson, Radford, Spooner, Wilson, Rabone, Moffatt, Larcomb and Sherriffs. Dixon Cup.

Failing a reply by February Ist the donor of the Dixon Cup is to be advised that the following resolution arrived at bv a meeting of the centre executive on September 7, will take effet:—

“That it be a recommendation that the Dixon Cup and Tucker Badges competition be continued this season, under the rules governing the trophies, until one week prior to the Easter 1926 tourney, when the then holders will return the cup and badges to the Centre executive. The trophies on their return to bo renamed the Manawatu Centre Cup and Badges and to be held thereafter each year by the winning rink at the Easter tourney." Mr J. A. Nash was of opinion such an arrangement would materially benfit the touranment in the matter of entries, and even if taken away by a team outside the Centre would have to be brought back by it to the next year’s tournament. General. It was decided to circularise each club to endeavour to send rinks to the Wanganui tournament. The gala day for Saturday is at Feilding and, from the feeling at the meeting, the whole of the Club’s green will be working up to capacity. On the motion'of Mr G. W. Wardrop it was decided that during the pleasure of the Centro, its shield and banner be held by the champion of champions rinks and pairs respectively. The following challenges have been notified: —
