MURDEROUS ATTACK
WIDOW SERIOUSLY INJUHED. [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] SYDNEY, November 30. When a tradesman knocked at the door of a house in Brook street, Coogee, late this afternoon, a woman named Louisa Timson, a widow, who was housekeeper there, staggered out bleeding profusely from deep cuts in the head. She was taken to hospital in a critical condition. She had apparently been attacked with a hammer, which was found nearby. The woman w’as unable to give a coherent account of how she received the injuries. The police are searching ;fo r visitors, who are thought to have been at the house in the afternoon.
