HOPE FOR PEACE ON IRISH BOUNDARY

Politicians Manoeuvre to Restore Prestige CONFERENCE MAY FIND SOLUTION [By Electric Cable—Copyright.] [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received Monday, 7.2 5 p.m.) LONDON. November 30. The “Morning Post’’ states that hope is rising In the Free State that the Conference will solve the boundary crisis amicably. The Government is anxious for peace, partly because life Republicans are using the crisis to regain public support which they have lost during the last two years. , Politicians in close touch with Dublin say if the boundary report is published and thereby becomes operative the knell of President Cosgrave’s Administration will nave sounded. On the contrary if the Free State agrees to the frontier remaining as at present and pledges itself not to raise the question for a ’ number of years the Free State must have some concessions from Britain in order to save its face, the concessions being probably of a financial nature connected with Ireland’s share of the national debt.
