Hemp.—Manila market firm with good demand. ".T” grade December/ February shipments sold up to £44 18/-. January/March shipments £4B 10/-. Market easier at the close. Sisal market steady and demand only moderate. Tanganyika. There are buyers No. 1 up to £46 10/- Ist graae. Inferior quality difficult to sell. ISTew Zealand market firm with bettor demand. High points sold £4O, Fair £36 for October/December to liecember/February shipments. Tow offered more freely on the basis £26 for No. 2 quality. Wool. — Sales continuing satisfactory. Crossbred has improved and fine crossbred now 5 per cent, also medium and coarse crossbred 10 per cent, above October closing rates. Strong demand largely auo to necessity meeting immediate requirements.

Tallow. —Spot market remains steady. Fair business being done. Present quotations are unchanged with the exception mutton, fine, 'iti/6 to 49/-; beef, fair to good 41/9 to 44/6.
