The production of butter in the Auckland province is now being well maintained, the returns showing that the yield during the last few weeks has been little short of that in the corresponding period of last season. The butter received at grading stores for the two weeks ended November 25 totalled 110,898 boxes, compared with 112,086 boxes for the corresponding period of last year, a decrease of 1142. For the fortnight ended November 11, this year’s production was 1442 boxes short of that for the corresponding two weeks of last season. The receipts of butter at grading stores for the season to November 25 totalled. 534,341 boxes, against 590,623 for the same period of last season, a decrease of 56,282 boxes. Cheese received during the last fortnight totalled 10,657 crates an increase of 2400, when compared with 8257 crates, the output for the corresponding period of 1924.
