HALMEBSTON NORTH v. WOODVILLE. HAWKE'S BAY CLUB DO WELL IN SINGLES. Played at Woodvllle on three asphalt courts on Saturday the match between Palmerston North and Wbodville was very enjoyable and the visitors speak highly of the splendid hospitality with which they were treated. The match ended in Palmerston North's favour by 14 sets to 10 (145 games to 124) the Woodvllle executive doing excellently to run «S in the day a single, double and milted double for every one of the dozen players engaged. Woodvllle players did their best work in the singles, winning four of the six played by the ladies and halving the men's. The return match between the Hinemoa Club (Dannevirke) and Terrace End was played at'the Terrace End courts on Saturday, and resulted in a win for the home players. The visitors were hospitably entertained and altogether the outing was thoroughly enjoyed.
