ROHE POTAE
The Rohe Potae Club met at Messrs Collinson and Cunninghame’s yesterday afternoon. The hostesses for me afternoon were Mesdamos Billens, Phillips, de Berry and Beydon, and musical items were given by Miss Alrini Ashworth, Messrs Hubble and ,de Berry accompanied by Mrs W. H. Gilmour. After all present had partaken of afternoon tea tire business of the annual meeting was taken. Miss Borna Fowler read a report on the club, stating that amongst the many visitors to the Club wore Mrs Bridgman, Y.W.C.A., National secretary for Girls' work, Mr and Mrs Heughan, Mr E. N. Robinson, World’s secretary for boys’ work, Dr. Ada Paterson (Wellington), and Dr. Elizabeth Bryson, Bevin. Voles of sympathy were passed to the members whose relatives hod died. During 1924, the Robe Potae Order cf Me’nt. in the form of a gold brooch, specially designed, was conferred vo Mrs B. A. Aoraham, in re cognition of her services to the community. A subsequent ballot of members had cccided against cortinulng to is sue the merit regularly. £ls had been voted by the members for the relief of a ease . ? distress. The receipts for the year had amounted to £47 and the expenditure to £39/1/-, leaving a balance of £7/19/-. After the adoption of the report and balance sheet, a presentation was made to Miss Fowler the retiring secretary Mrs H. Palmer referring to her many good qualities as a secretary and to ihe very capable wi/ in which she had carried out her arduous duties in connection with the Club. Mrs R. H. Billens addressed the meeting on the proposed reorganising and renaming the club. After discussion it was decided to leave the renaming until next year. The following were elected as officers of the Club. President: Mrs F. J. Nathan. Vice-Presidents: Mesdames II Palmer and R. H. Billens. Secretary and treasurer: Miss Fowler (re-elected). Executive: Mesdames Wilton, Aitchison, Mansford, Beydon, W. Phillip* Fowler and Cunninghame. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the retiring officers, and also to Messrs Collinson and Cunninghame lor the use of their room during th« year and a half in which the club has been in existence.
