w Westfield * 9 Superphosphate and u Westfield” Special Mixed Manures enable you to secure those increased yields which make al! the difference in increased profits at the end of the year.

“Westfield” Superphosphate “Westfield” Superphosphate, 44/46% and 36/38%, is the most used of all fertilisers. For top-dressing pastures “Westfield” Superphosphate is unrivalled, and the increased feed which follows itsj use has, in many instances, almost trebled the carrying capacity of the land on which it was applied. “Westfield” Superphosphate is the most important ingredient in “Westfield” Special Manures, and contributes largely to the exceptionally good returns obtained by these special mixtures. Superphosphate is the only water soluble manure * “Westfield” Special Manures . In making “Westfield” Special Manures, no thought is given to making a product the principal feature of which is its low price. We know that cheaper mixtures can be made than “Westfield,” but what is the saving of a few shillings on manure compared with MAXIMUM RETURNS when the crop is grown? “Westfield” Special Manures compete in results rather than in first cost, and we are confident no manure can give a farmer a better investment than these Special “Westfield” Mixtures, with their carefully adjusted proportions of each ingredient—proportions that are not decided in an£ haphazard ..manner, but as the result of careful tests extending over many-years. , Each one contains— SUPERPHOSPHATE, for water soluble or quicMy-available phosphate; '“SEYCHELLES” GUANO, for, citrate soluble phosphate and nitrogen. BONEDUST AND BLOOD, for citrate soluble phoaphat<Rmd- wttogm; ' SULPHATE OF' AMMONIA, for nitrogen (water soluble). POTASH in a soluble form, NAURU OCEAN PHOSPHATE (finely ground). The actual proportions being scientifically adjusted for the particular crop for which they are prepared. < ■ • %

Westfield” Special Manures that gnve appreciably larger crops TURNIP MANURE.—Many recognised authorities favour the use of li cwt. to 2 cwt. of “Westfield” Superphosphate per acre in lieu of special manures. At any rate, special manures should contain a high proportion of Superphosphate, and for this reason “Westfield” Turnip Mixture is also strongly recommended as being an excellent manure, that can be relied upon to give most satisfactory results. ROOT MANURE FOR MANGELS.—Here again many aixthorities recommend the use of “Westfield” Superphosphate alone, and in an official test, published in the “N.Z. Journal of Agriculture,” it was shown that an application of 3$ cwt. of Superphosphate per acre gave an increase of 33 tons 19 cwt. per acre over no manure, and an average increase of nearly 26 tons per acre over the previous year’s crop, when only 1 cwt. of manure per acre was used. “Westfield” Special Root Manure is also strongly recommended by experts, and can be relied upon to give greatly increased returns. RAPE MANURE.—Rape must be grown quickly if it is to be of service to the stock-fattener. “Westfield” Special Rape Manure gives the plant a vigorous start and makes for a strong leaf growth that is full of fattening properties. “Westfield” Superphosphate, 44146% and 36/38%, and “Westfield” Special MixedManures are obtainable from merchants and storekeepers, or direct from the manufacturers: Kemplhorne, Prosser & Co.’s New Zealand Drug Co.
