BANAWATU BUILDING SOCIETY
RESULT OF BALLOTS. About one hundred shareholders attended a meeting of the Manawatu 00-operalive Building Society lasi night to witness ballots for sums totalling £I9OO in Groups Nos. 1,2 and 3.
Mr. G. G. Priest (chairman) addressed the meeting and briefly described the method of conducting ballots. Messrs. F. J. Allen and A. E. Turner carried out. the duties o.f scrutineers. The ballot in No. 1 Group resulted in Mr. J. Johnston (Awapunl) securing £SOO free of interest. The successful sharehoders in No. 2 Group were Miss J. C. Shaw £2OO, J. Clevely (Bunnythorpe) £IOO and R. Davis £2OO. In No. 3 Group, the result was Mr; B. J. Odder £SOO, and Mrs. M. G. Odder £2OO, of Woodvillo.
A vote of thanks was passed to tV scrutineers. , In thanking the share holders for their attendance, th*. chairman remarked that already people were inquiring at the office ol the Society about the next group and he stated that it had been practical!) decided by the directors to start s further group par’y in the Now Year.
