MARTON CYCLE ROAD RACE
PALMERSTON NORTH RIDERS SUCCESSFUL. The fifteen-mile cycle road race (three times around Crofton Block) held in Marton yesterday, was won by H. Powell. 3Jmin. (£4 and pair of tvrea), S. R. Spiers being second (£2 and cylce lamp) and A. Harvey, third (£1 and trophy) all Palmerston Nortn riders. The race was a gruelling test as a heavy wind was blowing ana made conditions very trying. ».
