SUGGESTED REMEDY FOR COWPOX

Writing to "Hoard’s Dairyman,” a correspondent says: — The cure and control of cowpox in a dairy herd is a’simple and easy problem If hydrogen peroxide is used. Its liberal use will quickly check the disease even in its worst form. The red spots will quickly dry and disappear. and the open sores will have a clean and healthy appearance, but those sores will require a salvo to assist in the healing process.

Best results arc obtained by 'keeping a bottle of peroxide down at the cowshed ready for immediate use. If during the milking period a cow is found to be infected, then immediately after milking her, bathe the hands, teats, and lower part of tho udder with peroxide. Repeat the treatment after each milking period always milking the infected cow or cows last. After the third or fourth milking the disease will have disappeared. and the treatment may he discontinued.
