“Prepare For War Willi Britain” ALLEGED ADVANCES TO NEIGHBOURING STATES. [Aust. and N.Z. Cable Association.] [By Electric Cable — (Received Monday, 7 p.m.) LONDON. July 12. Tire “Times” Riga correspondent says the latest anti-British canard invented and circulated by Moscow ia an alleged British Government scheme to overthrow the Soviet regime. According to the Soviet press, the British have made overtures to Latvia, Poland and Esthonia, inviting their participation in a military campaign aaginst Moscow, while the British Fleet would occupy the Baltic ports. Responsible Soviet officials insist that the report is correct. M. Frunze, the War Commissioner, in addressing Red troops said: “Be ready for an open declaration of war by the British, because it is impossible to doubt the preparations for an attack are being made.”
