RUGBY FOOTBALL.
COLLEGE TOURNEY IN AUGUST. The Wanganui Collegiate School reassembles this morning, after ten days’ vacation. It would appear that the Rugby game with Palmerston North Boys’ High School, originally fixed for August 5. will not be played until after the inter-collegiate tournament at Wellington later on in that month. There is a chance that Nelson College will come back into the tourney after its representatives have stood out for something like thirty years. It will be a feather in the cap of Mr. T. R. Crcsswell (a famous centre of the days of the New Zealand Natives and A. E. Stoddart’s Britishers), the present principal of Wellington College, were the old game with Nelson to bo reinstated. Better still, why not a fly at the Moascar Cup if some of the northern challengers fall through.
