Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd., Palmerston North report having held a clearing sale on account of Mr O. W. Williams, Aokautere, on Wednesday July Bth. Despite the extremely rough and cold wmather there was a very good attendance and competition throughout the day for both sheep and cattle were keen ,and prices realised were highly satisfactory to vendor: Quotations: W. P. lambs, 26/7 b.f. lambs, 24/7; m.a. ewes 1.1., 25/to 25/2; 2-th ewes 1.1. Romney rams. £2 0/6; 4 and 6-th ewes in lamb Romney rams, £2 3/5; m.a. ewes in lamb Romney rams, 38/6; m.a. ewes running with b.f. and Romney rams, 33/2; dairy cows £4, £5, £6, £7, £B. £9, £10; empty cows, £2 5/-, £2 10/to £3; yearling heifers, £2 3/6; heifers r.w.b., £3 15/-; bulls, £4 7/6, £5 15/to 7gns; dogs, £1 15/- to £4 10/-; aged draught mare £l6; spring dray £lB.
