At the Magistrate’s Court a jockey named Harold James Tinker was charged with converting a. ear to his own use without colour of right, and alsc* with dangerous driving and driving without a license. Evidence was given that the car was driven swiftly, skidded and went over a bank. The owner had not given permission to use the car. Accused said he had been sitting hr the car with the owner and other men. The owner left and one man suggested a ride, saying the owner would not mind. Accused was fined £lO on each of the first tw'O charges and £1 on the third.
