JIB. SIDEY’S KETIRIDfENI ANNOUNCED AND DENIED. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Last Night. Information has been received in Wellington that Mr. T. JC. Sidoy, who represents Dunedin South in. life House of Representatives, will not be a candidate at tho next general election. Mr. Sidcy is a front bench Liberal and ie regarded as the first lieutenant of Mr. Wilford. When the Leader has been absent, Mr. Sidey has been left in charge of the Opposition. Advice from Dunedin is to the cfset that tho statement previously telegraphed concerning Mr. Sidey’s retirement from politics is incorrect.
