FRANKLIN BY-ELECTION
premier's busy day. [Per Press Association.! AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Prime Minister (Hon. J. G. Coates) spent a busy clay in Franklin electorate to-day, bringing the election campaign to a close by travelling some 50 miles and making no fewer than six speeches. Everywhere he was received with the greatest enthusiasm and only once at Otaluihu did ho have to deal with an interruption. Ho comes on to Auckland.
