NOT REGISTERING A RIFLE. John Gervase Davies was charged before Mr.. J. L. Stout, S.M., at the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court yesterday that on March 13, at Bunnythorpe, he was in possession for a longer period than seven days of a shot-gun without being registered as the owner. ’Mr. L. M. Abraham appeared for defendant and pleaded guilty on his behalf. He said it.was a mere oversight. Senior-Sergeant O’Grady said that the Act had been in force for tsome time and everybody should be aware of tliis obligation. A fine of £1 with costs was Imposed. Dangerous Driving, On a charge of driving a motorcar in Poston Line at a speed dangerous to the public, Charles Henry Goldfinch pleaded guilty through his lawyer, Mr. A. M. Ongley. Mr. Ongley explained the clrcum-' stances, which included a collision with a cyclist* and said that his client had made compensation. Senior-Sergeant O’Grady said that the accident occurred on the corner of Kalranga road and Foxton line.
