BRITAIN’S SHRINKING BUDGET

The United Kingdom’s revenue for the fiscal year ended March 31 amounted to £837,000,000, a decrease of £77,000,000, compared with last year. The decrease ig chiefly accounted for by the fall of £49,000,000 in property and income tax and supertax. The expenditure chargeable against revenue amounted to £7B 9000,00 compared with £812,000,000.
