ORIENT LODGE.

A meeting of Orient Lodge was heH on Friday eevhing in the Lodge room, N.G., Bro., W. P. Casey presiding. Several members are still reported on the sick list and the usual sick pay was passed for payment. Halloween Committee reported on having ail arrangements well in hand for next Friday evening, when great fun was promised for the wee folks. The district secretary, P.Q., Bro. Persson, reporting on several matters of interest of the Order, stated that Kia Ora Lodge, Dannevlrke, was at present showing signs of great advancement, and urging the members to greater responsibilities. One new member was initiated into the Lodge. Several matters of interest was held over until next Lodge, night. Members of the Oroua Lod/ j of Druids were the guests of the evening to a friendly game of cards for the purpose of playing for the Druids’ Euchre Shield Ten tables were engaged, and after an exciting game the Druids were again successful in winning the shield by 39 games to 32. After light refreshments had bech partaken of, daintly prepared by the social committee of the Lodge, the Arch Druid and N.G., exchanged fraternal greetings, a most enjoyable evening was brought to a close by all the members singing “For They Are Jolly Good Fellows.”
