NOTABLE SUCCESS.
FEJDLDING BREEDERS TO THE FORE. Fe.ilding breeders achieved notable success at the Hastings Show in the Southdown sheep classes, thus further establishing the eminence of this fertile district as a stud breeding locality. In the Southdown section. Messrs. Hugh Burrell and Son, of Kimbolton-road, exhibited in 11 classes, and succeeded in obtaining nine firsts, one second and three thirds, as well as being awarded the champion and reserve in the ewe classes. Mr. J. Knight, another well known breeder, exhibited in the section, and obtained two firsts, eight seconds ana two thirds, and in addition was awarded the champion in the ram classes. The results obtained by these two well known breeders bears 'testimony to the quality of the stock produced in the district.
