WANGANUI SHOW.

CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES. Tire schedules of the Wanganui Agricultural Association's annual show on November 7 and 8, arc now available, and a perusal of same will show the wide variety of classes and the valuable trophy and prize list for competition. In the stock section all the well.known breeds will be catered for, and the display of the cattle, horses, sheep, fat stock and pigs should be a fine feature.

The home industries section, which is always one of the most popular features of the big show, will make a strong appeal to exhibitors by reason of the splendid prizes offering'. The classes include produce, cooking, needlework, art and technical classes, and a primary schools competition. On both days of the Show there will be a splendid programme of ring events, including the West Coast Champion Hunters' jumping competition, which carries, in addition to a handsome challenge cup, £65 in prizes.

In conjunction the Wanganui Canine Society's annual show will bo held, and a very attractive prize list is open for dog enthusiasts. Schedules, or any information, may be had on application to the secretary, King's Chambers, Maria Place, or P.O. Box 152, Wanganui. Special attention is directed to the closing dates of entries. They are:— Home industries, cooking, needlework, etc., October 25. Horses, cattle, sheep, pigs and dogs November 1.
