£I3OO DAMAGES FOB VICTIM. [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The sun that Harold Lowry Penny, accountant, should be awarded on account of injuries inflicted by Edward Skevington's car in an accident on tho Papanui-road was considered by Mr. Justice Sim and a jury of 12 in the Supreme Court to-day. Plaintiff claimed that he was entitled to £2131 19/4. Defendant, who admitted liability, paid £750 into Court and pleaded that it was sufficient and satisfactory. The jury returned a verdict for £1299 3/4, being £624 3/4 special damages, and £675 general damages.
