To-day. will sec the opening of a display of Furs such as' is seldom seen in New Zealaud. Madame Menere, the well-known Christchurch furrier, after an absence of three years, during which time she has visited all the principal fur centres of the world, including Russia and Alaska, In the endeavour to get into personal touch with the actual trappers, has just returned to New Zealand, and to know just how successful her trip %vas one has only to see the Purs that she has .brought back with her. Magnificent coats of real Alaska seal, ermine, mink. mole, beaver, musquash, sciuirrel, marmot, kolinsky, etc., etc., bridge wraps of skunk, ermine, seal, white fox, silver fox, wolf, etc., etc., are here t'o be seen, all samples of next season's styles and cut by the leading furriers of Paris and London. All are to be sold to the public at less than the New Zealand wholesale prices. The display commences to-day at No. 4 Sample Room, Club Hotel, and will continue until Saturday next. For , those who contemplate a new fur next winter this is an exceptional chance, and we advise an early visit to secure the pick of these rare and beautiful samples, as they are sure to be eagei> ly sought alter. The hours of the display are 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., 2 to 5 p.m., or by appointment at hotel.*
