Imvood was first in 36 holes in today’s qualifying round. Kirkwood is leading with 144. Thus far, Kirkwood and Sarazen are in the lead, but ISO more players have the qualifying round to play in the next two days, the chief of whom is Hagen. KIRKWOOD’S RUNNER-UP. (Received Thursday, 11 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 11. Hagen is off form and temperamental. He scored 79 for the first eighteen holes in the open championship. Al. Waters, a former Caaiadian Open Champion, did the round in 72, thus ranking second to Kirkwood.
