The cost of production was stated to be from 4/0 to 5/ per bushel, all charges gone up fully 100 per cent. II was decided that the price be fixed at 6/- f.o.b. and it was also agreed to approach the Government with a view of granting assistance to t erect storage sheds, while an effort is to be made to obtain a reduction in handling charges. It was further decided to aslc the Government to place an embargo on Australian potatoes till Ihe local , price reached £lO per ton.
