MASKED CARNIVAL.
About 200 couples participated in a jolly evening - at the masked carnival dance at the Zealandia Hall last night, in aid of Che St. Patrick's Church fund. Costumes were bright and varied and the grand march was watched with interest by many who had not come to dance, besides those who had. Smith's orchestra, ensconced on Che, stage, discoursed excellent music. Prizes for costumes were awarded as follow:Best PPii". Misses Cosgrove and Pederson (Harem ladies), best dressed lady, Miss Rye (Spanish dancer), most original lady, Miss Ladd (Queries), most original costume, Mr. Chapman (Connecticut Yankee). Mr. J. R. Smjth was M.C.
