KAIPARA HOSPITAL BOARD.

TWO SITTING MEMBERS DISQUALIFIED. SHAREHOLDERS SUPPLYING DAIRY COMPANY. [Per Press Association.] DARGAVILLE, Last NigKt. At to-day's meeting of tho Kaipara Hospital Board, notification was received from fhe Audit Department that two members of the present board, Messrs. W. J- Simpkin and Thomas Bassett, and A. Morgan, a member of the old board, had been disqualified, owing to the fact that the board had purchased goods from companies on which the members concerned were directors. The first two mentioned are directors of the Wairoa Dairy Company, from which the board bought its supplies of butter and the last-named is chairman of the Kaipara Lime Company, from which the board bought a quantity of lime for use on the farm attached to the hospital. Mr. Morgan did not seek re-election this year. Members of the board are very indignant at the position of affairs, and decided to bring the matter before th e Hospital Board Conference, to be held at Wellington this month, with an idea of getting the Government to amend the Acfj The board has decided to cease buying its butter from the dairy company, and has been informed that if this is done members would be again eligible to take their seats on fhe board, if recommended by the local body whom they represent.

Mr. John Stallworthy, chairman of the board, was appointed to represent the board at the conference in Wellington.
