MANAWATU HUNT.
HUNTING AT FOXTON'. Yesterday afternoon the Manawatu Hunt's pack o.f hounds met at Foxton and hunted over the properties of Messrs Robinson Bros. The paddocks were in splendid order for the sport, and quite an enjoyable afternoon was spent. The hounds ran splendidly, and there w.%s some real good jumping, the going being ideal. The afternoon was beautifully fine and there was a goo.d number of spectators present to watch the fun, including several from Palmerston North. Among thoce following were: Messrs W. Neylon (Deputy Master) on Vanol; J. Sextan (huntsman) Vkdist; M. Kerehana (lion, whip), Bonchic; G. Walls, Kaitana; L. Power, Gang Awa'; A. McDonald, Tempo; P. James, Glenform; P. Lingard, The Baronet; A. H. Lawson, To Tau; E, H. Robinson, Portraitist; C. H. Arcus, Take Down; and others. At the conclusion of the hunt, the followers and spectators were enteiv tained at afternoon tea by Mr aeorge Coley. Mr L. H. Callinson (master) moved a hearty vote of thanks to the property-owners, those who had assisted to erect the "fences," and to Mr Coley for his hospitable entertainment. The motion was carried by acclamation, and Mr Coley suitably replied. The hounds will hunt at Foxton this afternoon, and probably also in the same vicinity in about a fortnight's j time. ;
