MANAGED ENT COMMITTEE 'J'lie regular meeting' of the Manawatu Hockey Association was held last night, -Mr A. E, Kerslakc presiding. A letter was read from the Wanganui Hockey Association inquiring as to the possibilities of a representative match with a B team as a curtainraiser, eventuating this season—Held over till next meeting'. The Southland Ladies' Hockey Association wrote inviting a representative team to visil Invercargill. A similar invitation w.is extended by the Hawke's Bav /oJies. —Referred to the Ladies' Co mmu.tce. Some dis n.ssion ensued as to the feasibility playing on the grounds at Rong.or.oa, and Mr Cousins was deputed to tr.v to make arrangements for the fixture to bi played in Palmerston North, if pa'v'ooie. WAERAItAPA TEAM ON TOUR. [Per Press Association ] GISBORNE, Last Night, The Wairarapa Rep. hockey team met Poverty -Bay in a friendly contest yesterday, Poverty Bay winning by three goals to two. Tunnicliffo scored for the visitors. To-day Wairarapa journeyed to Te i Karaka and met the Waikohu reps., the visitors winning by five goals (shot by Smith (2), Gallon, Goodit, and Tunnicliffo) to nil. Wairarapa leave for home to-i iarrow.
