PRICES GENERALLY ON PAR. [Per Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. At Addington market there was a large yarding of fat cattle and sheep. Beef was from 1/- to 1/G per 1001 b. cheaper, and the, lighter sorts of mutton were also easier by about 1/6 per head, good wethers, however, selling up to rates. Store sheep.—A good yarding for thia time of the ycJir, including a wcllsizpd line of wethers from Otago. Wethers improved by 1/6 per head on last -'’ale and ewes by up to 2/-. Lamljs also sold better. Forward four six and eight-tooth wethers, realised 24/6 to 26/-; others, 22/- to 24/-; inferior and low conditioned four, six and eight tooth, 19/- to 10/6; good two, four, six and eight-tooth ewes, 30/- to 33/-; good crossbred four, six and eighttooth, 20/- to 30/-; failing-mouthed, 20/- to 23/-; cull, 14/- to 16/3; three-quarter-bred ewe hoggets, 22/- to 2 3/■*; good half-bred wethers, 19/to 19/6: good three-quarter-bred wethers, 19/11; ordinary wethers, 15/to 17/6; small and inferior wethers. 12/3 to 13/6. ’ Fat lambs.—An entry of 1700 head with little change from last week. The over-all price was 9d. per lb. Extra, prime lambs sold for 30/- few special, 39/-; prime, 27/<i to 29/9; medium. 24/6 to 27/-; light and unfinished, 19/- to 23/-.

Pat sheep.—A big yarding of good sheep about maintained values, but inferior sorts, particularly ewes, slippel back 1/- to 1/6 per head. Extra prime, wethers, 34/- to 37/-; a few special, 40/-; prime, 30/6 to 33/6; medium, 27/0 to 30/-; inferior, 25/6 to 27/3; extra prime ewes, 33/6; prime, 25/- to 29/-; medium, 21/- to 24/-; light, 18/- to 20/6; old, 13/6 to 17/6.

Fat Cattle.—A big yarding of 430 head prices being 1/6 per 1001 b easier. Primes! sold up to 28/- per 1001 b.: good, 23/6 to 26/-; medium, 21/- to 22/6; inferior from 17/6 down to 10/-. Extra prime, steers, £l4: prime, £9 to £l2 10/-; medium. £6 15/- to £S 15/-; light, £4 10/- to £6 10/-; extra prime heifers, £9 15/-; prime, £5 10/- to £8 5/-; ordinary, £4 5/- to £5 5/-; extra prime cows, £8 10/-; prime. £4 10/to £6 15/-; ordinary, £3 5/- to £4 5/-. Vealers.—Anything good sold at late rates. Good humors fetched up to £5; ordinary heavy vealers, £3 5/- to £4 6/-; medium, £1 2/G to £2 5/-; small calves, 3/- to 18/-. Store cattle. —The entry included some station lines of steers and heifers. Three-year steers realised £5 3/6 to £5 7/6; 21-yr. steers. £3 10/-; ISmos. £2 6/-; ISmos. heifers, £2.

Dairy ciattle.—Good springers, especially those close to calving, sold well. Good second, third and fourth calvers (springing) fetched £8 to £l2; extra good, £ls; springing heifers, £6 to £9; extra good, £l6; backward springers, £2 to £4.

Fat pig's—There was a little better demand, and improved prices. Choppers, £3 to £4 19/6; light baconers, £2 18/- to £3 in/-; heavy, £3 15/- to £4; extra heavy, £4 1/-, average price per lb., s?d. to 6?.d. Light porkers, £1 12/- to £f IS/-; heavy, £2 3/- to £2 12/-. average price per lb., 7d. to Bd. Store pigs.—Weaners sold at late rates. Medium and large stores were in much greater demand than last week. Weaners, 3/- to 10/-: small stores. 15/- to 22/-; medium, 28/- to 33/-; large to 40/-.
