P.N.C.T. ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL. REPORT. The third annual report of the Palmerston North Commercial Travellers' Assocation which is to be submitted at t'he annual meeting on Friday night, discloses a most successful year. During t'he past term the members were instrumental in raising nearly £4OO for various obejcts. The balloon and bun days, which were held in conjunction with the Floral Fete on behalf of the All Saints' Children's Home, netted £3OO for that institution. The Palmerston North Municipal Band benefited to the' extent of £45 for its Contest Fund, and £35 was raised by means of a sacred concert, for a widow and family. In addition, members and their friends were t'he means of infusing joy and gladness into the hearts of old and young, through the medium of concerts given at the Home for the Aged at Awapuni, and the Children's Home respectively. The annual ball was again an unqualified social success, while members take a pardonable pride in their new club room, which was opened by Mr J. A. Nash, M.P., in November last. Many new members bers have been added to the Association during the year, and all look forward with hope to another period of successful endeavour in the future.
