CONCERN EVERYONE.
NEW TELEPHONE CHARGES. TO BE DISCUSSED NEXT SESSION. OLD SYSTEM SCRAPPED. [Per Press Association.] BLENHEIM, Last Night. In replying to a question relative to the new telephone charges last«night, the Postmaster-General (Hon. J. G. Coates) stated that the matter of revised telephone charges and new postal rates would be dealt with either in the Governor's Speech at the opening of the next session, or in the Budget, but probably in the Budget. He said the proposals would l>e interesting and would concern everyone. He was unable to say anything further at present, but he would add that as soon as the telephone charges were fixed, no reversion would be made to the system of half-yearly settlements.
